The Sowing the Seeds music festival is taking place at the Cape Farmhouse on Saturday 16 April 2011. The event which is brought to you by Carling Black Label and SEED Experiences in association with Food and Trees for Africa, is a taster of what to expect at the popular Rocking The Daisies music festival which happens later in the year.
This year’s event will feature the musical talents of 7ft Soundsystem, Jeremy Loops, Hot Water, aKing (acoustic), James Copeland and Mix n Blend. There’ll be a craft market and art gallery, as well as a kids play area to keep the little ones entertained. And there’ll be loads of good food on offer as well.
Carling Black Label is coming to the party by organising a train and shuttle service from Cape Town Station. For R30, you can get a return trip on the ‘Daisy Train’ which includes complimentary drinks from SA Breweries. There’ll be space for 240 passengers on the train and there’ll be ample security.
Tickets for the Sowing the Seeds music festival cost R100 to R130 if you book online at WebTickets. They’ll also be on sale at the door for R110 each. The Cape Farmhouse is situated 3km from Scarborough at the bottom of Red Hill – Junction M66 & M65. The music starts at 12h00 and finishes up at 22h00. Enjoy!
