I’m keen to see how Newlands Cricket Ground delivers as a music venue. If I can remember correctly it’s been a good few years since a concert was last held there. One major benefit that I can think of is that it’s right on the main Southern Suburbs railway line, so travelling by train to the event is the way to go I reckon.

KFM Program Manager, Stephen Werner, says, “Newlands Cricket Stadium is the perfect location for this annual event. KDay is the Western Cape’s biggest one day music festival, featuring a line-up of the country’s hottest music acts on one stage.” He continues, “Attendance to the event has grown exponentially over the past few years and with twenty thousand fans expected to attend next year we want to ensure everyone has a great experience. Newlands is a tried and tested location geared towards this kind of crowd capacity.”

MTN is back on board partnering with KFM to bring you KDay 2015, following on the massive success of the 2014 event. Don’t miss out – it’s going to be awesome!
