Visitors to the Company’s Garden will be able to enjoy 100mb of daily free w-fi from Friday 26 July 2013. It’s a great move by the city, Iziko Museums and Connected Space, the three driving forces behind the project.
The free wi-fi will also be used for educational purposes, as visitors can scan codes placed in the gardens to access all kinds of interesting information about the trees, plants and flowers.
The initiative could result in further free wi-fi hotspots in the city, something which would benefit both the casual and business internet user.
Now’s your chance to get out and enjoy some beautiful natural surroundings, even if you can’t stay away from surfing the net for a few minutes!
