RSS FEEDI recently watched a great episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’ (E-tv, Sundays 19h30), where the cast was in search of the best burger in New York. It was really funny and got me thinking of where the best burgers are in Cape Town. Most restaurants include a selection of burgers on their menu. It’s always a safe bet when you’re not really sure what to choose. And if the menu’s really pricy, the trusty burger is usually the wallet-friendly option.
Where can you find the best burgers in Cape Town?
Royale Eatery in Long Street, Cape Town (021 422 4536), offers some of the best burgers in the Mother City. While you’re there, grab a milkshake as well. You won’t be disappointed. Jakes on Summerly in Kenilworth (021 797 0366) and Jakes in the Village (021 701 3272) have some superb burgers on their Cafe Menu. And if you’re at the V&A Waterfront, try Krugmann’s Grill (021 418 9393). Their burgers are delicious and the prices are great too.
UPDATE: I have to say that the best burgers I’ve tasted are on offer at the new Hudsons in Protea Road, Claremont (021 674 5152). There are awesome combinations and the burgers are made to perfection. The chilli poppers and cocktails aren’t bad either!

Definitely Royale in Long Street – best burgers in Cape Town!
Any one been to “Beefcakes” on Somerset Road? Was wondering what that was like, it looks great.
Haven’t been to Beefcakes yet but will say Boo Radley’s makes the best burger I’ve had in Cape Town so far! Ps. The ‘burger search’ episode of How I Met Your Mother was hilarious
Hudsons hands down. Fab burgers, great service & a NY vibe. The lentil burger for veggies is absolutely the best in the country. No being left-out feelings there.
