Where can you buy South African flag car mirror socks in Cape Town?

Posted on May 1st, 2010

Have you seen those South African flag car mirror socks? They’re just in time for the World Cup and they’re going to be a popular item to buy. So where can you get them in Cape Town and how much do they cost?

If you’re going to buy them from a shop you can expect to pay anything from R80 to R140 per pair. They are apparently on sale at Cardies branches. They’re also on sale from hawkers in the Mother City for around R80 per pair. Try the area between Cavendish Square and The Link in Claremont, Keurboom Road, Kendal Road or Tokai Road. Feel free to post a comment if you know of other spots where you can buy South African flag car mirror socks.

You can also buy them online at, which supports the SuperSport ‘Let’s Play’ initiative. So there you have it, show some support and get your Mzansi fan flags.

Or you can join our Shopping Club and get them for R70 pair!! We sell them only in packs of 4 Pairs though due to the delivery fee, but if one can organise a bulk order and sends me a mail, we will certainly make a plan.

Just got my SA car mirror socks in Tokai Road, got them for the World Cup and any SA sports event for that matter! 🙂

You can have your mirrors wrapped in vinyl in which ever country you would prefer. Easy to remove afterwards or you can keep it on until tired of it. Also, at least you know it cant be stolen, unlike a “sock”.

You could even write your country’s name across the car, or turn your car into a soccerball, who knows, the options are endless!

You can also buy them online for R30 per pair!

Well we bought our pair, and had it for 3 days then parked our car at work like normal and they were stolen. Whats the point of buying it now if they are just gonna get stolen again…

  7. Mel says:

Use a black koki pen to write your car registration on the mirror socks… that way there is no resale value!

Hi ya’l – they’ve now reached Aussie shores – the Australian Flag Car Wing Mirror Covers I mean, so I thought I’d let any of you know who has friends and relies in Oz, that you can now buy them online with International Shipping and free shipping in Australia. Just search “MirrorSocks”.
