Classic rock fans will be excited to hear that The Moody Blues will be touring South Africa next year. The legendary English rock band will perform in Cape Town at the GrandWest Arena on Wednesday 30 May 2012 and in Johannesburg at the Coca-Cola Dome on Friday 1 June 2012. They will be supported by other classic British bands 10cc and Procol Harum.
With over 70 million albums sold and a string of classic hits, The Moody Blues are one of the most famous bands of all time. They are also one of the most successful touring bands of all time and after 45 years, they’re still going strong. Well known songs include ‘Nights In White Satin’, ‘Your Wildest Dreams’, ‘I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock And Roll Band)’, ‘Ride My See Saw’ and ‘Question’, to name just a few from their catalogue.

The Hollies live in Cape Town
The Moody Blues aren’t the only headlining classic rock band who’ll be visiting our shores next year. The Hollies will be touring South Africa in February 2012. They’ll be performing at the GrandWest Arena on 23 February 2012, as well as at Carnival City in Johannesburg on 25 and 26 February 2012. They are of course well known for classics like ‘The Air That I Breathe’, ‘Bus Stop’, ‘Carrie Anne’ and ‘Just One Look’. Tickets are available at Computicket for The Hollies 50th Anniversary Tour.
