The Lion of Africa Half Marathon & Philip Rabinowitz Memorial 10km Walk: 6 February 2010

The Cape Town running season is under way and the first event I’m looking at is the Lion of Africa Half Marathon & Philip Rabinowitz Memorial 10km Walk, which takes place on Saturday 6 February 2010. It’s a 21.1km half marathon through the scenic Constantia region and surroundings. The event also includes a 10km walk and a 5km fun run/walk.

It’s all happening at the Cape Academy for Mathematics, Science and Technology, on the corner of Firgrove and Spaanschemat Roads in Constantia. The 10km walk is in memorial of Philip Rabinowitz and a special memorial medal will be issued to all 10km walkers when they finish the walk.
