The ever popular J&B Met is happening at Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 30 January 2010. Expect a full day of exciting horse racing, fashion and live entertainment, at one of Cape Town’s most famous annual events. There are ten races on the day, with the first race starting at 11h50. The main feature race takes place at 16h20.

The theme for this year’s J&B Met is ‘In Full Colour’. In the words of the organisers: ‘Take style and sophistication to a bold and bright place. Step away from the expected and dazzle those around you with your appetite for colour and the unconventional.’ Of course, there will be the traditional competition for best dressed couple etc, so go out there and enjoy it.
A general entrance ticket costs R150 per person. This gives you access to Kenilworth Racecourse and includes a R10 betting voucher and a J&B Race card. Note the general entrance ticket does not give you access to the reserved areas in the buildings and the marquee village.
A contribution from ticket sales also goes towards the funding of the Kenilworth Conservation Area, the Cape Fynbos area in the middle of the racecourse, which is soon to be declared a National Conservation Area.
