Standard Bank Inside Edge – Tuesday nights on SuperSport 2

It’s not exactly a new show but it’s a good one. Standard Bank Inside Edge is a quality cricket magazine programme hosted by Pommie Mbangwa. You can watch it on Tuesday nights on DSTV’s SuperSport 2 channel.

I’ve only started watching Inside Edge recently. Pommie is a great host and really thinks about the questions he asks guests. It’s not just generic Q&A which some sports programmes offer. Kepler Wessels, Robin Jackman and Daryll Cullinan are regulars on the show and provide valuable insight into the game. The live broadcast adds to the up-to-date and relevant content of the show.

Inside Edge packs a lot into a half an hour. There’s a good balance of international and domestic cricket and there’s a good mix of news, views, stats and interviews. It’s also good to see a programme which doesn’t hold back on debating the harder issues of the game. The show was re-launched earlier this year and they’ve done a great job. Well done to everyone involved and keep up the good work.

Look out for Inside Edge on SuperSport 2 on Tuesday nights at 20h00. The time slot does sometimes change if there’s a live match happening on a Tuesday. If there’s a match on the go you can check your DSTV TV guide or visit www.supersport.com for the exact time of Inside Edge.

Could the experts please discuss umpiring, and the disgusting display of one of them at the first MTN40 semi-final. I don’t know how they are appointed, but they need to know the laws of the game, be unbiased and have good eyesight. It is sad that professional cricketers have their important games ruined by displays like this and have no comeback!

What is the value of Mark Boucher to the team? And Wayne Parnell – why did they keep him as part of the tour, after his poor performance in the 1 days? Instead of sending him back to his province to play. And will Parnell be in the test sides or 1 days against India? I hope not.

Pommy tks for great show, Can u and your panel of experts discuss the spinner issue in S.A. and guys really from what we saw against Pakistan; Paul Harris he is not a bowler of international quality why don’t we give someone else a shot until we get someone. Thks looking forward to you response

Can someone please explain to me why SA selectors keep on selecting the same core group of players, who has FAILED in ALL ICC tournaments and shown that they do not have BMT? Surely this is madness … what about Jacques Rudolph in the one day and test team and and other more deserving young players that got some balls??
