From Friday 9 March 2012, the Cape Argus will look a little different. Readers can look forward to a new compact version of the popular Cape newspaper, as well as morning and afternoon editions. The new format aims to be more reader friendly and will also feature some interesting new elements.
The biggest change is the new compact format which will certainly appeal to you if you enjoy reading on the go. You can expect less of those sub-sections which slip out and the newspaper will be easier to page through. The content will include more features showcasing local and international writing, as well as expanded sports and weather sections. There will also be more contributions from leading opinion-makers. You can look forward to exciting new competitions and giveaways as well.
The Cape Argus has been around for 155 years from when it first started as a weekly newspaper in 1857. The first major change came about in 1890 when the newspaper changed to an evening daily and now for the first time, it’ll be hitting the streets in the morning as well as the afternoon. Be sure to look out for the new Cape Argus this Friday and see what you think.
