More top honours for the Mother City

Cape Town continues to gain recognition as a favourite destination for travelers from around the globe. The city has recently featured on two world renowned travel lists – U.S. News & World Report’s 2016 Best Vacation Destinations and the 2016 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards.

The Mother City came in at number 11 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2016/2017 Best Vacation Destinations, which featured the likes of the Great Barrier Reef, Paris, Bora Bora and Florence. Here’s the full list:

And then this week, Cape Town was awarded the title of the very best city in Africa and the Middle East, by Travel + Leisure in New York. In addition the coastal city was named the 10th best city globally on the magazine’s world’s best cities list.
