RSS FEEDThe line-up is here at last. The Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts will be taking place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens from 22 November 2009 – 4 April 2010. Bring your friends, family, a picnic basket and some wine and enjoy the best South African bands and artists in the one of the most amazing open-air venues in the world.
The legendary Johnny Clegg will be opening the 2009-2010 concert season on Sunday 22 November 2009. Tickets are already on sale from www.webtickets.co.za. The prices are R95 each for adults, R85 each for Botanical Society members and R70 each for scholars. Gates open at 15h30 and the concert starts at 17h30. Johnny Clegg and his band always put on a highly entertaining show so don’t miss out.

Why are the Parlotones not playing next year??

I was thinking the same thing. Last year their concert was the fastest selling one of the season. I’m sure a lot of fans were looking forward to seeing them again at Kirstenbosch.

Please can anyone tell me whether the Jonny Cooper Orchestra will be in the Cape between December 18 this year and January 8th next year – if not is there a similar style band or orchestra that will be performing down there. Thanks in advance!
If anyone has any info for Graham, please feel free to post a comment. The Jonny Cooper Orchestra is always a hit at Kirstenbosch – hopefully they’ll be playing again at Kirstenbosch this summer.
