If you’re looking for really good biltong and dried sausage (droe wors) in Cape Town, then try Chops Biltong in the southern suburbs. I usually buy at the Plumstead shop but there’s also a new smaller shop in Constantia Village. The prices are good and the quality is excellent. What’s great is that you can choose exactly what kind of biltong you like – no fat/with fat as well as dry/in between/wet – you get exactly what you’re looking for.
You can choose from a fresh selection of beef biltong, game biltong, ostrich biltong and dried sausage. They also stock other products such as olive oil, braai sauce, nuts and honey. Overall, Chops Biltong makes the best biltong and dried sausage I’ve found in Cape Town and I would definitely recommend them.
