Cape Town travel resources

This list of travel resources in Cape Town will be updated from time to time with useful resources in the Mother City. There will be a few outside of Cape Town as well, just in case you’re taking a break outside of the city.

• V&A Waterfront
  The V&A Waterfront is a must for any visitor to the Mother City. With excellent restaurants, luxury hotels and loads of shopping options, it’s the place to be in Cape Town. The V&A Waterfront amphitheatre also hosts a variety of live entertainment and music on a regular basis.
• Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
  The Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful spots in Cape Town and a must for any visitor to the city. The gardens are perfect for picnics and are full of interesting flowers, trees and plants for enthusiasts. The Silvertree Restaurant is a popular spot for dining and there’s also a deli if you’d like to organise a picnic. In addition, the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts are hugely popular on Sundays in the months between November and April.
• Constantia Wine Route
  The Constantia Wine Route has an excellent selection of wine farms including the famous Groot Constantia and Klein Constantia farms, as well as classic wine estates like Buitenverwachting, Steenberg and more.
• Primi Royal – Camps Bay
  If you’d like to stay in Camps Bay and not spend a fortune, then consider the Primi Royal Boutique Hotel. With luxury four star accommodation and spectacular views of the ocean, the hotel is a great option for a getaway in Camps Bay.
• Spicy Villa – Oranjezicht

• Knysna Waterfront
  The Knysna Waterfront has a great selection of restaurants and shopping options. Over the peak season and during the Kynsna Oyster Festival, there’s always a fantastic buzz around the town and the waterfront is the hub of the action.
• Robertson Wine Route
  The Robertson Wine Valley features some of the best wine farms in the Western Cape. From Van Loveren, Bon Courage and Graham Beck, to Excelsior and Arabella, the area boasts some well known names in the world of wine.
• Port Elizabeth Metro Bed and Breakfast Association
  PEMBAA features over 110 bed and breakfast, guesthouse and self catering establishments in and around Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
