Blisters for Bread Charity Fun Walk – Green Point Cricket Club: 26 August 2012

Entries are now open for the 2012 Blisters for Bread charity fun walk. Every year, the event attracts thousands of participants and in the process raises much needed funds for the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA), which provides nutritious meals to hungry school children in the Western Cape.

The start and finish point for the event is the Green Point Cricket Club and walkers can choose from three distances – 5km, 10km or 15km. The cost to enter this year’s Blisters For Bread is R41 and you can enter online at www.topevents.co.za or collect and complete an entry form at selected Pick n Pay stores, Sportsman Warehouse stores or Curves gyms before Saturday 11 August 2012.

The starting times for the various distances are:

• 15km: 08h00
• 10km: 08h30
• 5km: 09h00

Number collection will take place at the venue you selected on your order form on Saturday 25 August 2012. The event itself takes place on Sunday 26 August 2012.

As always, refreshment stations and professional medical facilities will be positioned along the route and at the Green Point Cricket Club. There’ll also be spot prizes and live entertainment for the whole family, adding to the festive vibe on the day.
