See Absinthe (featuring Cito and Paul E. Flynn) in Cape Town from 13

The powerhouse duo of Cito and Paul E. Flynn will be treating music fans to three highly recommended performances in Cape Town this month. Together, the guys perform under the name Absinthè and the concept is simple – no originals, just covers. You can look forward to hearing acoustic renditions of classic songs by Joy Division, the Verve, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Depeche Mode, Johnny Cash and other artists who have influenced Cito and Paul over their musical careers.

Cito is well known as the lead singer of the band Wonderboom, as well as for his work in the stage production Jesus Christ Superstar, while Paul was of course the lead singer for the band Sugardrive. Over the past two years, Absinthè has been treating fans to very select shows at smaller, more intimate venues which suit the duo’s laid-back style of two unique voices and acoustic guitars.

Absinthè has recently released a new music video for the Joy Division hit ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’, taken from their double CD release entitled ‘A Rendezvous at Nirvana’. With the creative help of Rowan Cloete (online editor) and Bradley Devine (director, designer and editor), the video has turned out brilliantly and is already climbing the MK Video Chart.

The guys will be performing at the following venues from 13 to 15 July 2012:

Friday 13 July 2012: Kalk Bay Theatre, Corner of Main Road and Rouxville Road, Kalk Bay

Saturday 14 July 2012: Cape Angel Guesthouse, 3 Fig Street, Fernwood, Newlands

Sunday 15 July 2012: Berties Mooring, The Boardwalk, Harbour Island
