American rockers, 30 Seconds To Mars, are returning to South Africa for two shows in November 2010. The first concert is taking place at the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg on Friday 19 November 2010. Cape Town fans can then look forward to seeing the band at the Grand Arena at Grand West Casino, on Sunday 21 November 2010. [New show added, see below.]
Who remembers seeing 30 Seconds To Mars live at the Cape Town CokeFest a few years back? The band was good and they rocked the crowd that day, apart from Jared Leto’s bout of swearing – remember that?!. They’ve since released a new album, entitled ‘This Is War’, which has been a huge success. Singles like ‘Kings And Queens’, ‘This Is War’ and ‘Closer To The Edge’, have taken the band to a new level.
30 Seconds To Mars music videos are epic pieces of work and the band’s latest video for the song, ‘Closer To The Edge’, will not disappoint fans. Check it out below.
Ticket prices for the Cape Town concert range in price from R215 to R365. You can book at Computicket. It’s probably going to sell out fast, so if you’re a fan of the band, don’t miss out.
[UPDATE: An extra show has been added for Cape Town. It's happening on Saturday 20 November 2010. You've now got two opportunities to see this great band in Cape Town. Enjoy!]

I saw them at CokeFest – and I remember Jared Leto swearing too! But I agree, the music was still good. The songs from the new album have really grown on me. I will definitely be checking out the concert. It’s a more mature sound for the band, epic songs but they still rock!
I’m stoked about this concert. Great to see a band like 30 Seconds To Mars returning to South Africa. Nice one guys!
30 Seconds To Mars rocks! Jared and the boys are a class act. This is the one concert that I want to go to this year!
I’m stoked about that extra concert, awesome!
Is the extra show a acustic one?
Hey Tanya, I haven’t heard that it’s an acoustic show. If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to post a comment.
Wish these guys were performing in my home country Kenya, they can visit the Masai Mara after the show.
What an awesomely insane concert, best way to spend your money! HOPE they don’t stay away too long…..
Hey Nicole, that’s brilliant – glad you enjoyed the concert
Cheers, Adrian
