Look out for ‘Bokkie’, the new mascot representing the Springboks

Current World Rugby Champions, the Springboks, have a new team mascot and his name is ‘Bokkie’. He’s a springbok gazelle who gets super powers when he puts on the Springbok jersey. Cape Town based company, Sunrise Productions, created the character for SA Rugby. In fact, Bokkie was originally a character in the animated TV series, ‘Jungle Beat’.

Bokkie is set to be a huge hit with fans of all ages. And he’s here just in time for the Springboks’ upcoming challenges, the 2010 Vodacom Tri-Nations and then the Vodacom Outgoing Tour at the end of the year. Show your support for the Springboks and let’s keep the Vodacom Tri-Nations trophy in South Africa!
