Jesse Clegg concert at the CTICC – 7 November 2009

Jesse Clegg has made a big impact on the South African music scene in the last 12 months. His debut single ‘Today’ did extremely well on national radio and the follow up singles ‘Heartbreak Street’ and ‘Girl Lost In The City’ are climbing the charts.

I’m impressed at how Jesse has created his own sound and identity. Yes, his father is the legendary Johnny Clegg but it’s good to see Jesse is doing his own thing with his blend of melodic pop/rock. His debut album ‘When I Wake Up’ is nearing Gold status and has received two SAMA nominations. Jesse has recently performed at sold out concerts at the Joburg Theatre. He also performed at the recent ‘Mandela Day’ concert in New York. Not bad going for a 21 year old.

Doors open at 19h00.
Jesse Clegg will perform at 20h00 for an hour and a half.
Tickets cost R140 – R186 each.
